Mrs. Alma Sue VanPelt Baty, age 86, of Summerville, GA died Monday, April 1, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Baty was born December 14, 1926 in Centre, AL, the daughter of the late Elisha Jackson King and Cordelia Belle Sharp King. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Baty was a member of Pennville Alliance Church. She enjoyed karaoke, activities with friends at the Senior Center, and spending time with family. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond VanPelt, Frank Baty, and Clarence Cushen; 15 Brothers and Sisters; 2 Children; 1 Grandson; and 3 Great-Grandchildren.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Ginger VanPelt; daughters and son-in-law, Becky and Randy Dalrymple, SR and Vicky Selman VanPelt: 9 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p. m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at MasonFuneral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Ricky VanPelt, Tyler VanPelt, Chase Pursley, Russell VanSise, Zack Boyd, and Charles Cushen.

Mrs. Baty will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p. m.Wednesday.
