Mrs. Barbara Jean Swanson Cordle, age 72, of Trion, GA, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

 

Mrs. Cordle was born December 13, 1941, in LaFayette, GA, daughter of the late Clifford M. Swanson and Mary Elizabeth Oliver Swanson.  She was a homemaker and attended the Fair View South Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Swanson.

 

Mrs. Cordle is survived by her husband, Tommy Fay Cordle; sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff and Kelly Cordle, Steven and Frankie Cordle; daughter and son-in-law, Tina Cordle and Mike Howard; a brother, Teddy Swanson; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Cordle will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2014, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lowell Cantrell and Rev. Tom Russell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be grandsons.  Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Cordle will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday.
