Mrs. Brenda Shaw Woodard, age 65, of Menlo, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was born in 1952. She and her late husband, Mike, owned and operated Menlo Lucky’s Supermarket. Mrs. Woodard will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at other hours the family will be at the residence 446 Jamestown Rd, Menlo, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Woodard will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Mike and Brenda Woodard Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Brenda Shaw Woodard, age 65, of Menlo, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Floyd Medical Center.
Mrs. Woodard was born April 5, 1952, the daughter of Leona Chitwood Shaw and the late Bernard Shaw. She and her late husband, Mike, owned and operated Menlo Lucky’s Supermarket. Mrs. Woodard attended Chesterfield Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband Charlie Wooten; second husband, Kenneth Michael “Mike” Woodard; grandparents, Jim and Edna Shaw, and Wesley and Omer Chitwood.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Vanessa Woodard; daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Barry Bentley, Nikki and Scott Ballard, Sally and Larry Reynolds, Katie and Jay Bryan; mother, Leona Chitwood Shaw; brother and sister-in-law, Gary Don and Gay Shaw; grandchildren, Abbie Woodard, Mollie Woodard, Kambri Woodard, Madison Bentley, Grayson Bentley, McKenna Bentley, Braxton Ballard, Anaston Ballard, Autumn Atkison, Britney Cook, Candice Bryan; 5 great-grandchildren; special friends, Kathy and Henry Barrow, Cindy Hall, and Jane Canada.
Funeral services for Mrs. Woodard will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Henry Barrow, Scott Woodall, Tyler VanHorn, Eugene Brown, Greg Shaw, Freddie Hughes, Chuck Powell, and Tip Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny McGraw and all current and past employees of Lucky’s Supermarket.
