Mrs. Donnie Faye Rickett Smith, age 87, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, October 18, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born April 25, 1939, in Centre, AL, daughter of the late Hermon Brown Rickett and Mable Bishop Rickett. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Synthetic. Mrs. Smith loved Jesus, her family, planting flowers, and going to Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd L. Smith; a daughter, Donna Slayton; 2 sisters; 4 brothers; and grandsons, Josh Wooten and Jeremy Wooten.

Survivors include her son, Gene Slayton; daughters, Annette Reynolds, Lisa Slayton, and Roxanne Crowe; a brother, David (Nancy) Rickett; grandchildren, Scott (Whitney) Crowe, Jill Pratt, Tabatha Gardner, Jamey (Sacressa) Roan, Leah (Travis) Ray, and Jacob Reynolds; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and a special friend, Eunice Austin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Crowe, Jacob Reynolds, Staven Gardner, Gunnar Gardner, Michael Hargrove, Derick Wilkins, and Casey Brown.

Mrs. Smith will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
