Ms. Doris Lee Hatcher, age 81, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the Mount Berry Hospice.
Ms. Hatcher was born October 26, 1934, in Jamestown, AL, daughter of the late Cecil Benjamin and Beulah Mae Chandler Deering. She was a member of the East Trion Church of God, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cecil "Dink" Williams; and a brother, Earnest Jackson Deering.
Ms. Hatcher is survived by her sons, Danny Hatcher, Sr. and Kenny Hatcher; grandchildren, Danny Jr. and Emily Hatcher, John Richard Parrish III; great-grandchildren, Isaak Hatcher, Brett Hatcher, Jack Hatcher; nephews, Keith Eugene and Kelly Jo Williams, Kelly and Lisa Williams.
Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Hatcher will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, December 9, 2015, from the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Charles Izell officiating. Active pallbearers, Jimmy Dennis, Jerome Myrick,
Jon Dennis, Bobby Nixon, David Lea, and Danny Overbay.
Ms. Hatcher will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
Mason Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Ms. Doris Lee Hatcher who died on Sunday.
