Mrs. Dorothy (Polly) Norton, age 78, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday February 10, 2013 in Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Norton was born November 3, 1934, in Centre, AL, the daughter of the late Irby and Lucille Smith Abernathy. She was a home maker and a former employee of the Montgomery Knitting Mill. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, George Tomlin, 2nd husband Walter Norton, son, Edward Tomlin, brothers, David and Junior Abernathy.

Survivors include her nieces and care givers, Trish Rich, Kathy Terry, Judy Slaughter, Kayla Warren, Tonya Dawson, Melinda Clark, and a nephew, Tim Abernathy, earthly angels, Amanda Miller, Katrina Kirby, special friend, Robert Chaney.

Graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday February 11, 2013 from the South Carolina Camp Ground Cemetery, with Rev. Jerry Rutledge officiating with burial in the family plot at South Carolina Camp Ground Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Kyle Parker, Scott Ash, Jack T. Rich, Jack W. Rich, Jay Ledford, Ryan Kirby. Honorary pallbearers the Staff and Employee's of Oakview Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Norton will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Monday from 2:30 p.m. until the service time.
