Mrs. Edith Louise McBurnett, age 89, of Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in a Rome hospital. She was born in Chatsworth, Georgia on August 14, 1928, a daughter of the late James Irving and Eliza Fisher Hensley. Mrs. McBurnett was a member of Church of God of Union Assembly.
She was preceded in death by husbands, the late George Arthur Morgan and Arthur McBurnett, Children, the late Milton Morgan, Archbald Morgan, Mary Jo Hamilton, Christine Morgan, Grandchildren, Pamela Hamilton, Travis Ridell Morgan, and Jonathan Hamilton, Daughter-in-law, the late Lena Faye Morgan.
Surviving are Daughter and Son-in-law, Donna and Charlie Long; Son, George A. Morgan; 21 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, several Nieces, and Nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Dennie Smith and Rev. Lebron Long officiating, interment will be Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M.
