Mrs. Eva Grace McGee Brenwald, age 81 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the residence of her daughter.

Mrs. Brenwald was born in Huttonsville, West Virginia on March 4, 1930, daughter of the late Gus McGee and Gladys Simmons McGee. She was a very independent person, having started her family in Asthabula, Ohio before moving to Georgia in the mid 1970’s. Mrs. Brenwald raised 5 kids, loved to travel and work crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brenwald was preceded in death by a brother, Charles McGee of South Carolina.

Mrs. Brenwald is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Gayle Brenwald of Summerville, Damon and Cindy Brenwald of Summerville, and David and Janet Brenwald of Trion; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Edgeworth and Sammy Goodridge of Menlo and Anita and Lonnie Hatcher of Summerville; brothers and sister-in-law, Paul and Alice McGee of Pennsylvania and Gery McGee of W. VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nellie and Hadren Spice of KY, Ada Jean and Bud Simmons of FL, and Mable Ann and David Lester of W. VA; grandchildren, Scott and Britney Brenwald, Thomas Brenwald, Cory Brenwald, Haylee Edgeworth, Chase Henderson and Alicia Weber; a great granddaughter, Katelyn Brenwald; 4 step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.

According to Mrs. Brenwald’s wishes, she will be cremated and a private viewing will be held. The family will receive friends and family at the residence of her daughter, 76 Frances Street, Summerville.

The Brenwald family would like to give great thanks to Mrs. Brenwald’s loving caretakers, Vicki Wood and Judy and Vernon Hatcher, and offer a special thanks to the staff of Heyman Hospicecare.
