Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Haggard, age 83 of Gaylesville, passed away Tuesday, January 3^rd at her residence. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Crawford officiating; burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 until 1:00PM Thursday. Pallbearers include Richard McCullough, Jason Chambers, Kyle Harrell, CJ Justice, Dale Lawson, and Tim Carson. Honorary Pallbearers include Bobby Connell, Steve Harrell, Marsh Carson, William Ragland, Johnny Slayton, and Robert Lee Crane. Survivors include daughters, Jean (Bill) Harwood of Cedar Bluff, Barbara (Richard) DeKarske of Lyerly, GA, Gayle Johnson of Gaylesville; special grandson, Gary (Carrie) Johnson of Gaylesville 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Haggard and beloved granddaughter, Michelle Harwood. Mrs. Haggard was born in High Point, GA, but lived most of her life in Gaylesville; she was the daughter of the late Bufford & Josephine Hinton Abernathy Wilcox and was a member of New Prospect #1 Baptist Church.
