Ms. Janice Henrietta "Jan" Brimer Young, age 62, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Floyd Medical Center. Ms. Young was born December 3, 1946 in Trion, GA, the daughter of Barnett Hampton Brimer and the late James Brimer. She was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Ms. Young was a member of the First Baptist Church of Trion and she attended the Trion United Methodist Church. Ms. Young is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Chris Ray, Armuchee, GA; mother, Barnett Brimer, Trion, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Kay Brimer, Trion, GA; grandchildren, Ashton Ray and Caroline Ray; niece, Kayla Brimer, extended family, Beth Howard, Casey Howard, Emma Howard, Jeff and Kathy Bennett. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Pierce, Rev. Art Graves and Rev. Ricky Biddle officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Bennett, Casey Howard, Ronald King, Billy Hawkins, Ted Bowers, Jimmy Anderson, David Mitchell and John Tyson. Honorary pallbearers will be Peggy Sumner, Kathy Ray, Waynie Edge, past & present Mt. Vernon Mills Lab Employees, Connie Witt & Staff, and Margaret Henderson. Ms. Young will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Friday, August 7, 2009. At other hours the family will be at 63 Sunset Lane, Trion, GA
