Mrs. Janice Marie “Mimi” Dalton, age 76 of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026 in a Rome hospital.

Jan was born in Trion, Georgia on August 1, 1950, daughter of the late Clarence J. “Jr.” Colbert and Catherine Marie Barnes Colbert.  She was a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and was retired from the Customer Service Department of Shaw Industries.  In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by two sons, Chris Dalton and Robbie Dalton; a grandson, Rob Dalton, Jr; and a granddaughter, Brianna Dalrymple.

Jan is survived by her husband, Ken Dalton; son, Randy Dalrymple, Jr. and his wife Tracy; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Ronald Couch; granddaughters, Samantha and Keina Jackson, Chase Pursley and Logan Pinion; great grandchildren, Addie Jackson and Koda Pursley; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Funeral Services for Jan will be held Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Fine officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Couch, Andy Howell, Chase Pursley, Andy Dalrymple, Logan Pinion, Randy Dalrymple, Mike Tucker and Casey Ray.

Jan’s family will receive friends Sunday afternoon at the Coffman Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until the hour.
