Mrs. Jewel Minnie Maynard, age 90, of Trion, GA died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Floyd MedicalCenter. Mrs. Maynard was born August 6, 1918 in Cherokee County, AL, the dauther of the late George Deering and Annie Morrow Deering. She was a homemaker and a member of the Silver HillBaptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Maynard and a daughter, SherryPickle.

 Survivors include sons, Thomas ‘Buster" Maynard, Pennville, GA and Austin Maynard, Summerville, GA; daughters, Nadine Espy Lyerly, GA, Brenda Hughes, Calhoun, GA, AliceBallinger, Trion, GA, Sandra Corbin, Armuchee, GA, Debbie Cooper, Summerville, GA, andMelinda Floyd, Trion, GA; sister, Violet Haney, 20 Grandchildren; 37 Great Grandchildren;and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
