MRS. LINDA JOHNSON EVANS, age 78, of Congress Street, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in a Cedartown hospital, following a sudden illness. Mrs. Evans was born in Trion, Georgia on September 28, 1948, to the late John M. and Edith Louise Madden Durham. She was retired from Mount Vernon Mills and was a faithful active pianist for her entire life. In addition to Parents She was preceded in death by first husband, the late Benjamin Franklin Johnson and brother, the late Larry Durham.

Surviving are husband, Donnie F. Evans; niece, Trina Hunt; nephews, David Durham and Kenny Durham; step children, Kay Holloway and Cindy Fortenberry; and sister-in-law, Martha Durham Bishop.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, November 8th, at 3:00 P.M. from graveside in West Hill Cemetery with Mr. John Agnew officiating. Pallbearers Chad Hunt, David Durham, Kenny Durham, Elliot Hunt, Tobias Hunt, and Gabriel Hunt. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 until 2:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
