Mrs. Lois Nolen McGuire, age 90, of Rome, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, in a Rome hospital. A native of Belvins, Arkansas, She was born on April 17, 1927 to the late Hillary and Nell Honea Nolen. Mrs. McGuire was a typing teacher for the U.S. Air Force and an administrative assistant for the Joplin, Ark. Police Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Jada M. McGuire, Sr. and brother, the late Wallace Nolen.

Surviving are daughter & son-in-law, Patti & Jim Grindstaff; son, Jada M. McGuire, Jr.; sister, Betty McCarty; brother, Boyce Nolen; sister-in-law, Janie McGuire Dawson; grandchildren, James A. & Melissa Grindstaff, IV, and Jada R. & Cheryl Grindstaff; great grandchildren, Jackson, Nolen, Allison, and Wyatt Grindstaff; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Memorial service will be held Monday, October 1st, at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel at Renaissance Marquis, Rome; with Chaplain Mike Ellis officiating. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
