Mrs. Louella Jane Williams, age 99 of Summerville, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Williams was born in Cherokee County, Georgia on November 24, 1920, daughter of the late William Thomas Keown and Ollie Myrtle Reece Keown. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Williams loved to sew and quilt and in later life loved making bead jewelry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Williams; sons, Howard Ray and Clarence Ray; and all of her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Wayne Helton of Summerville; son and daughter-in-law, Lenard Lamar and Brenda Rakestraw of Villa Rica; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Williams will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Pickern officiating. Interment will follow in the Pennville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Helton, Tommy Maynor, Terry Scoggins, Jeremy Long, Jalin Perry and Shane Beck.
Mrs. Williams will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
