Mrs. Mary Lou Smith Cordell, 90, of Summerville, GA passed away Thursday, October 06, 2016 at Floyd Medical Center.
Mrs. Cordell was born November 30, 1925 on DeKalb, AL to the late Gordon and Johnnie Prestwood Smith. She was retired from Best Manufacturing and was a member of Pennville First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cordell is preceded in death by her husband; Manuel H. Cordell.
Mrs. Cordell is survived by her son; Eugene (Peggy) Cordell, Daughter Donnie Sue (Jerry) Brown, brother; Jim (Brenda) Smith, sisters; Janet (H.A.) Wilborn, Polly Tribble, and Freda Miller, grandchildren; Jerry Eugene Brown, Dustin Cordell, and Laura Lee Gann, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 8 at 4:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Wynn officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens with Dustin Cordell, Rick Gann, Eddie Henderson, and Greg Harrison serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Cordell will be in state, and the family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service.
