Mrs. Paula Jean Marks, age 72, of Summerville, GA, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at her residence.
 
Mrs. Marks was born May 7, 1943, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Paul A. McWhorter and Dorothy Mann Campbell.  She was a member of the Four Mile Baptist Church.  She had worked at Mount Vernon Mills where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club.  She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Dorothy and Walter Campbell; father and step-mother, Paul and Nellie McWhorter; sister, Sarah Eller; brother, Walter Campbell, Jr.; and a grandson, Cory Thompson.
 
Mrs. Marks is survived by her husband, Houston Marks; sons, Charles McGuire and Jimmy L. Hardin; a daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Neil Shropshire; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kathy McWhorter; sisters, Jackie Campbell and Eydie Campbell Rowland; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services for Mrs. Marks will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 12, 2015, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Kelley officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Barry Barosay, Austin Rowland, Allen Elrod, and John Aycock.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Security Guards of Mount Vernon Mills and George Helms.
 
Mrs. Marks will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 11, 2015.
