Mrs. Rosa Mae White Woods, age 88, of Rossville, GA, formerly of Summerville, GA, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at her residence.   Mrs. Woods was born May 1, 1920 in Berryton, GA, the daughter of the late Claude and  Emmie Rich Ponder.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Summerville Church of God.  Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul “Budgie” White;her second husband, Earl Woods; sons, Paul Devon White and Carl James White; brother, Ben Chapman; sisters, Gertha Rowells and Jewell Ponder Ledbetter. Survivors include her daughters and sons-inlaw, Shirley Igou, Jeannie & Pat Moran, Chattanooga, TN, Nelda and Doyle Smith, Trion, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Henderson and Frances Ponder, Summerville, GA; 17 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; members of the Paul “Budgie” White Family, and members of the Earl Woods Family. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p. m. Sunday, April 12, 2009 from the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Harkins and Bro. Jack Matthews officiating &; Burial will follow in Summerville Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Grandchildren and GreatGrandchildren.  Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Nutrition Center. Mrs. Woods will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m.
