Mrs. Wanda Jeanette Pollard, age 75, of Summerville, GA died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Pollard was born October 11, 1933 in Dekalb County, AL, the daughter of the late John and Pearl Coleman Jennings. She was a member of Silver Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Mill. Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Pollard; son, Jimmy Pollard; sisters, Hazel Hayes, Haynie Blanton, Helen Messer, and Bobbie Kabowski; brothers, Bill Jennings, Junior Jennings, Fred Jennings, Brownie Jennings, and Leath Jennings.
Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry & Wanda Nell Pollard, Harold & Lynn Pollard, Darryl & Janet Pollard, all of Rome, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila & Steve Willingham, Trion, GA, Pam & Larry Atkins, Rome, GA; sister, Mary Agan, Rome, GA, Betty Edmondson, Kennesaw, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Travis & Clara Jennings, Birmingham, AL; 12 Grandchildren; & 19 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Braddy, Rev. Harold Pollard, and Rev. Darryl Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joseph Schimmelmann, Justin Pollard, John Pollard, Jesse Pollard, Darryl Pollard, JR, and Mike Causey. Honorary pallbearers will be the Nursing Staff of Healthfield Home Health.
Mrs. Pollard will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Thursday, July 30, 2009
