Mr. Robert Luke ?R.L.? Murphy, age 84,20of Gaylesville, AL., passed away Sunday September 28, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Murphy was born September 17, 1924 at Sand Mountain, AL, the son of the late Lathan and Josie Tallent Murphy. He was a retired brick mason He operated Murphy?s Produce at the Summerville Trade Day. Mr. Murphy was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in WWII. He was preceded in death by a grandson, John Ray Lemons and a great grandson, Gavin Ray Lemons. Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Lillie Mae Sentell Murphy; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip & Sue Murphy, Gaylesville, AL; daughters and sons-in-law, Edith & Ray Lemons, Gaylesville, AL, Vikki Entrekin, Trion, GA, Kathy & Bill Mobbs, Gaylesville, AL, Sheilah & Sidney Bryson, Gaylesville, AL; special former son-in-law, Bill Entrekin, Trion, GA; brother, Berlin Murphy; sisters, Virginia Hughes and Sarah Tallent, all of Gaylesville, AL; grandchildren, Bobby (Sandra) Lemons, Michelle (Jason) Broome, Robert (Nicki) Murphy, Charles (April) Murphy, Edwin Murphy, Shane ( Jessica) Murphy, Melissa Entrekin, Christie Entrekin, Dawn (Dale) Lawson Brent ( Emily) Mobbs, Shawn (Tabatha) Bryson, Craig Entrekin, C arole Entrekin, and Marcie Floyd; and 30 Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. (EST) on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Gary McCurdy, Min. Emerson Blythe, and Min. Berlin Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Bobby Lemons, Robert Murphy, Charles Murphy, Edwin Murphy, Shane Murphy, Brent Mobbs, and Shawn Bryson. Honorary pallbearers will be all Members of the Menlo Church of Christ and all faithful customers from the Summerville Trade Day.
