Rev. Leo Calvert Crane, age 69, of Gaylesville, AL, died Saturday, June 6, 2020, at his residence.
Rev. Crane was born August 14, 1950, in Gaylesville, AL, son of the late Leonard Ropert Crane and Ruby Gamble Crane. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, had been employed with Riegel Textiles and I.T.T. Lester. In addition to his parents, Rev. Crane was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Crane and Denise Eldridge; and a grandchild, Zachery Dale Crane.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Owens Crane; sons, Douglas Calvert Crane, Michael Kevin Crane, and Gregory Dale Crane; brothers, Calvin (Ellen) Crane, Dennis Crane; grandchildren, Jacob Bradley Crane and Noah Gregory Crane.
Due to gathering restrictions, services for Rev. Crane will be held privately for immediate family only with Rev. Terry Hawkins and Rev. Sanford DeBerry officiating. Private interment will follow at Union Hill “Needmore” Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Wesley Owens, Gary Hancock, Dewayne Crane, Kemp McReynolds, Josh Helms, Justin Ward, Richard McCullough, and Wayne Jennings. Sam Eldridge will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

I have known Leo since high school and though all the years we worked together at Lester Ind. He was a great friend and a great worshipper of our Lord and Savior. I pray for his family that their lose for Leo goes well. Love and sympathy. Greg
