Here are preliminary reports we are getting about trees down and roads blocked plus car accidents:

Highway 114 at Hamp Brewer Circle – tree down

Oak Hill Road at Alpine Road – tree down blocking road

Halls Valley Road – tree down in road

Dovers Cut – a tree is down in the road and a car ran into the tree but there are no injuries

Back Penn Road – tree is down blocking the road

Trion Teloga Road at Bankey Farm Road – tree down and blocking the roadway

Highway 48 coming down the mountain from Cloudland – a tree is down in the road and a car ran into the tree injuring 3 people who are being transported by Redmond EMS

Cherry Street in Trion – tree down that tore the power meter off of a residence

Tree down with power lines in road at the 4400 block of Hair Lake Road.

Scoggins Trail – tree is in the road with gas line pulled out of the ground

300 Williams Cemetary Road – tree and power lines blocking the road

Maffit Street Trion – power lines and tree down in the road

Reed Street Trion – power lines down

We just spoke with Chattooga County Public Works Director Joe Reed who is urging people to STAY AT HOME! The roadways are very dangerous right now with several accidents already of cars running into downed trees. There are also power lines down.

He said they are getting reports of onlookers wanting to see storm damage. PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADWAYS AS THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS TIME TO BE DRIVING!
