The Chattooga County Republican Party will hold its October meeting tonight, Tuesday, October 20, featuring State Senator Lanny Thomas and Chattooga County School Superintendent Dr. Michelle Helie as guest speakers.

The meeting will begin at 6 PM at Chattooga County Republican headquarters, located at 11264 Highway 27 in Summerville.

Thomas represents Georgia’s 53rd Senate District, which includes Chattooga County and other portions of northwest Georgia. He will be joined by Dr. Helie, who serves as superintendent of the Chattooga County School District.

The meeting comes just two weeks before Georgia’s November 3 General Election, with early voting already underway across the state.

The October gathering provides local Republicans and other interested residents an opportunity to hear directly from their state senator and the superintendent of the county school system.
