
With flu season approaching, Northwest Georgia public health officials are encouraging residents to get their annual influenza vaccination, preferably before the end of October.
Dr. Gary Voccio, health director for the Georgia Department of Public Health’s 10-county Northwest Health District, says everyone six months of age and older should receive a flu vaccine unless their healthcare provider advises otherwise.
