Chattooga County Offices To Close Monday For Labor Day

Chattooga County government offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

According to County Clerk Johnna Allen, the Chattooga County Transfer Station and all county dump sites will also be closed Monday.

County offices, the Transfer Station and dump sites will reopen Tuesday, September 8.

Residents who normally use the Transfer Station or county dump sites on Mondays should plan accordingly for the holiday closure.

The Chattooga County Commissioner’s Office wished everyone a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.

Chattooga County Offices to Close July 3 for Independence Day Holiday

Chattooga County transit services, administrative offices, and other county departments will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

County officials say the Chattooga County Transfer Station and county dump sites will remain open and operate on their regular schedules.

For emergencies or any issue requiring a county crew to be dispatched, residents should call 911.

County officials wished residents a safe and enjoyable Independence Day weekend and offered thanks to all who have served the country and those who continue working to protect America’s freedom.

Chattooga County Announces Memorial Day Holiday Schedule

Chattooga County officials say dump sites and the transfer station will remain open and operate on their regular schedules during the Memorial Day holiday.

Transit services, county departments, and administrative offices will be closed for the holiday and will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday.

For emergencies or work requiring crew dispatch, residents should call 911.

County officials also said they honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the nation.
