Armuchee Man Arrested on Felony Theft by Conversion Warrant

An Armuchee man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with theft by conversion.

According to the warrant, 41-year-old Timothy Jacob Morgan allegedly took a woman’s 2010 Subaru Legacy on June 4 under the promise he would perform mechanic work for $300. The warrant says Morgan was paid a total of $1,143 for parts and services, but by November he stopped responding to the woman’s requests to get her vehicle back.

Authorities say the vehicle was moved from Morgan’s shop to an unknown location sometime between November and January.

Woman Arrested on Felony Charge Alleging Unlawful Sexual Conduct With Inmate at Floyd County Prison

A Cartersville woman has been arrested on a felony warrant accusing her of unlawful sexual conduct with a person in custody, according to an arrest warrant in the case.

The warrant alleges 26-year-old Jazmine Prechy Richardson, identified as a member of the kitchen staff at the Floyd County Prison, engaged in a sexual act with an inmate.

Investigators say the alleged incident happened during the early morning hours of October 20. No additional details were immediately available, and officials have not released further information about the circumstances surrounding the case.

Richardson’s arrest is tied to the felony warrant, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Lyerly Man Arrested Last Thursday on Aggravated Battery Warrant, Held in Floyd County Jail

A Lyerly man was arrested Thursday of last week and booked into the Floyd County Jail on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated battery.

According to the warrant, 35-year-old Branden Lee Salas is accused of attacking a woman at a location on Blacks Bluff Road in Rome on May 8. The victim reportedly suffered a fracture to her left arm.

In addition to the aggravated battery charge, Salas is being held on a probation violation. Jail records also list him as a fugitive from justice, citing an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Cherokee County, Alabama, on unspecified charges.
