Advance voting for the May 19, 2026 General Primary and Nonpartisan General Election is set to begin soon in Chattooga County, with important dates and details now finalized for local voters.
Time is running out for residents who want to take part in next month’s primary election in Georgia.
Voters across Northwest Georgia cast ballots Tuesday in the special election runoff for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District and the 53rd State Senate District, but another important election is already just ahead for Chattooga County voters.
Voters in Chattooga County and neighboring counties in Northwest Georgia are expected to see an additional special election tied to the shakeup in the 14th Congressional District. Gov. Brian Kemp has issued a call to fill Georgia Senate District 53, the seat vacated by Colton Moore after he qualified to run for the open U.S. House seat.
