Bells are ringing across shopping centers this holiday season as the Salvation Army of Rome, GA launches its annual Red Kettle campaign, a vital fundraiser that supports services in Chattooga, Floyd, and several other Northwest Georgia counties.
Holiday giving is picking up speed as The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle and Angel Tree campaigns continue to see strong community support this season. Organizers say donations and participation are trending upward as more people look for ways to help neighbors in need during the holidays.
The Salvation Army of Rome officially kicked off its annual Red Kettle Campaign on Friday, November 21, at noon outside Hobby Lobby on Shorter Avenue. The storied Christmas campaign is the organization’s largest fundraising effort of the year, powering programs that provide critical support to families and individuals in Floyd, Polk, and Chattooga County.
