Chattooga County residents are being reminded that all county offices will be closed Wednesday through Friday this week in observance of the Christmas holidays. The closure includes the Chattooga County Commissioner’s Office, the Chattooga County Tax Commissioner’s Office, and the Chattooga County Probate Judge’s Office, along with other county departments and offices.

Chattooga County Property Taxes Due December 10 After Deadline Extension

Chattooga County property owners have just nine days left to pay their 2025 property taxes. Earlier this year, Chattooga County Commissioner Andy Allen and Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton announced that the deadline would be extended to Tuesday, December 10, 2025, giving residents extra time after a delay in the mailing of tax bills.
