Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton says that a company sending out mail solicitations about purchasing land in Chattooga County is causing some concern.

Hampton said, “I have had several citizens to contact me regarding mail received from solicitors wanting to purchase their property.   While I believe the sender is a legitimate company that wants to purchase property, I am afraid some property owners might fill the form out and return it by mistake.  I would advise citizens to shred this mail unless they are actually interested in selling their property to this company. ”
