Tickets are still available for the popular Summerville Santa Special train rides, scheduled for November and December.

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum will offer multiple departures, giving families several opportunities to enjoy a holiday tradition aboard the train.

The 75-minute round-trip excursion takes passengers aboard an enclosed, climate-controlled Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum train to Santa’s Workshop in Trion, where they can meet Santa Claus himself.

Along the way, Santa’s cheerful elves will spread holiday spirit with Christmas carols, a live reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and light refreshments, including a chocolate chip cookie and chocolate milk.

Every child will receive a special keepsake, while guests of all ages can meet Santa as he makes his way through the train cars, greeting families and posing for photos.

Tickets are $24 per person, with children ages 2 and younger riding free.

Families interested in attending are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as popular departure times can sell out quickly.
