A Trion man was arrested on Christmas Day following a reported domestic disturbance, according to an arrest report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say 25-year-old Israel Dequez Dammon was taken into custody on December 25, 2025, after deputies responded to a verbal domestic call at a residence on Glen Drive.
According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the scene after a third party reported shouting at the residence. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Dammon, who said he had been involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. Deputies requested to speak with the woman involved, and officers later made contact with her inside the residence.
The report states that deputies heard what sounded like a verbal argument and entered the residence. Dammon was instructed to place his hands behind his back, but officers say he initially resisted commands and continued to behave aggressively while being escorted to a patrol vehicle. Deputies reported that Dammon continued yelling and refused to sit properly in the patrol car.
Following the investigation, deputies determined there was no evidence of a physical altercation. Dammon was charged with disorderly conduct and misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
He was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.
