The Trion United Methodist Church is known for their Brunswick Stew sales that they hold in the fall and winter each year.
Church members cook up the stew and sell it by the quart on a first-come-first-serve basis. The proceeds from the stew sale benefit the church.
The first stew-sale of the year was slated for today, but Sandra Pettyjohn with Trion United Methodist Church tells WZQZ News that the sale will have to be postponed until next Saturday.
Ms. Pettyjohn said, ” We will have to postpone, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Brunswick stew cooking until next Saturday October 9th.”
Next Saturday, the stew will be ready to pickup around 10:30 AM at the Trion United Methodist Fellowship Hall.
