A 41-year-old Trion woman is facing multiple charges after police say she intentionally struck her husband with a vehicle during a domestic dispute.

According to the Trion Police Department, officers responded to a residence on Walnut Street after receiving a report that a woman had struck a man with a vehicle before both individuals went inside the home.

When officers arrived, they made contact with Clory Rochelle Beane, 41, of Trion, and her 59-year-old husband. Police said the victim initially claimed he had fallen while working on his boat. However, officers reported observing injuries they believed were inconsistent with that explanation, including what appeared to be road rash on his back and a large bruise on his hip. Witnesses also reported seeing the man struck by a vehicle.

According to the incident report, the victim later acknowledged that the couple had been arguing over a text message but declined to provide additional details. Police wrote that the victim stated Beane was “nice when she is not on meth, but acts crazy when she is.” Officers also noted they believed the victim appeared fearful during the investigation.

Police said that as officers attempted to arrest Beane on an aggravated assault charge, she became loud and combative, resisted being handcuffed, repeatedly fell to the floor while exposing herself, kicked nearby objects and struck her head against the floor.

Clory Rochelle Beane was arrested and charged by the Trion Police Department with Aggravated Assault (Family Violence Act), Reckless Driving, and Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers.
