According to reports, 36-year-old Brandon Michael Montgomery of Summerville allegedly attempted to strike the woman’s vehicle with his own vehicle. Authorities say Montgomery is then accused of attempting to confine the victim inside her vehicle.
Reports further state that Montgomery allegedly placed his arms around the victim’s neck in an attempt to strangle her.
Montgomery has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and false imprisonment.

A Coosa man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened Wednesday at an apartment on North Avery Road in Rome.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 27-year-old Malik Tray Qurvas Curtis is accused of shooting a 24-year-old woman in the stomach, causing serious injuries.
Authorities say Curtis and the victim had been living together at the time of the incident.
Curtis is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The investigation remains ongoing.

A Summerville man was arrested Thursday at North Elm Street and Laurel Avenue in Floyd County and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly pointing a firearm at a woman during an argument.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 51-year-old Phillip Cornell Williams is accused of pointing the gun at the woman during the dispute at a location on Shorter Avenue.
Williams is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

A violent attack in Gordon County late last week ended with a Plainville man behind bars after deputies say he assaulted a woman at her home with a pair of scissors, then fled the scene.
