At Monday’s City of Summerville Council meeting, council members voted to decided to move utilities on a Highway 48 bridge with city personnel.
A Summerville man reported to Summerville Police that he believed that he was scammed on a social media site. Levi Ragland told police that he had been communicating with a woman he didn’t personally know on Instagram. The woman began asking Ragland for money. He sent her $30 and then the woman asked for a copy of his driver’s license. The woman then asked for his social security number. At that point, the complainant was convinced that he was being scammed and wanted a report on file.

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is transitioning from daily to weekly COVID-19 data reporting. Case counts and vaccination updates will be published on the DPH website every Wednesday beginning April 20. The last daily updates to the Daily Status Report and the vaccine dashboard will be April 15.
The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call about a domestic altercation on Maplewood Drive that ended with a man being taken to jail on an outstanding warrant.
