The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a theft on Spring Hill Road in Trion this week. According to the complainant, someone came on his property and stole a $200 automotive jack that he had purchased at Walmart. The complainant said that he had been having problems with tools coming up missing. The responding deputy spoke with a witness who gave the name of a suspect and said that the suspect had been known to steal tools in the neighborhood. The incident was turned over to an investigator.

A vehicle owner was stopped by LaFayette Police Monday on North Chattanooga Street, because the Honda had no tag.
The Town of Lyerly will be sponsoring an Easter Egg hunt today at noon for kids age 12 and under. The event will take place at Angus McLeod Park. A hot dog picnic will follow the Easter Egg hunt. Angus McCleod Park is located at 5801 Highway 114 in Lyerly. Everyone is invited for this free event.
Summerville Police arrested a Lyerly woman on drug charges after a traffic stop according to a report released this week. The arrest happened last month when an officer observed a vehicle driving in an erratic manner on Lyerly Street.
