Graduation season is just around the corner for students in Chattooga County and Trion City Schools, and recent data shows strong performance in Trion along with steady long-term improvement in the county system.
Trion High School continues to rank among the top performers in Northwest Georgia, with graduation rates consistently at or above 95 percent in recent years. That places the system well above the state average and among the stronger school systems in the region.
Chattooga High School has also made significant progress, with graduation rates steadily improving over the past decade and now reaching into the 90 percent range in recent data. School officials say that upward trend reflects ongoing efforts to support students and increase graduation success.
Educators say graduation rates are a key indicator of student success, reflecting not only academic performance but also attendance, engagement, and support systems both in and out of the classroom.
With May approaching, both school systems are preparing for upcoming graduation ceremonies. Seniors at Trion High School and Chattooga High School are now in the final stretch of the school year as they get ready to receive their diplomas and move on to college, careers, or the workforce.
School leaders say the focus remains on helping every student cross the finish line, as communities across Chattooga County prepare to celebrate the Class of 2026.
