A Chattooga County Deputy was dispatched to a residence in Summerville April 2nd, after a call came in from the homeowner reporting damage to property.
Upon arrival, the deputy was shown where someone had gone onto the porch and damaged furniture. Among the items vandalized were two plastic chairs, a flower in a vase and a pair of wooden rocking chairs.
The complainant estimated the value of the items to be around $300.
The investigation into the matter continues.

As a result of the thunderstorms that swept through Chattooga County overnight the phone lines are down at the Animal Control Center.
Callers will hear what sounds like a busy signal, but the lines are actually out of order.
The carrier has been notified and repairs are expected to be made sometime on Friday.
