A Relay for Life Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, April 10th – from 1:00 – 3:00pm, at the Summerville Train depot on East Washington Street in Summerville.
The event which is hosted by Relay Team Parker Systems, will include a Silent Auction and Dessert.

According to a post on the Summerville News website, motorists should be aware of a sink hole which has formed on Hair Lake Road near Bill Rich Hill.
The roadway is partially blocked off, but is still passable.

Chattooga County law enforcement officials were recently dispatched to Mr. C’s Chevron on Highway 27 in Summerville regard to a report of counterfeit money being taken in.
According to the store clerk, during the money count she discovered a phony twenty dollar bill; the bill was taken into evidence and the matter remains under investigation.
