What you can do to change the life of a child!
Did you know that as of February 17, 2016, there were 12,437 children in the Georgia Foster Care system. There are only 4,044 foster homes (DFCS and Child Placing Agency homes). There are over 300 children that are currently free for adoption but do not have an identified adoption resource.
Anyone can do the math and tell that there is an urgent need throughout our lovely state for more foster and adoptive homes. Could your home be the next approved foster home or adoptive home? If not, are you willing to help out in some other way?
Chattooga County will be offering informational meetings every 3rd Tuesday of each month beginning March 15th. Come and let me tell you how to become a foster or adoptive home, or just to let you know what other way you can help the children in our county, region and state that are in need.
We all can do something to help a child, we just need to be willing to do so. Are you willing?
