On October 2nd, Chattooga County officers traveled to North Lewis Streets in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, the officer immediately spoke with the complainant. He said that when he came into work this morning, he found some items out of place. After further investigation, he noticed his red Fender acoustic guitar and bass guitar were missing from another room. He valued the guitars around $500.

No forced entry was found, and the complainant was advised that a report would be filed for future reference. 

On October 1st, Chattooga County officers drove to Elm Street in Cloudland in reference to a domestic dispute.

One man met the officers at the door of the residence in which the dispute took place. The officers noticed blood on his right thumb. The man was identified as Kenneth Parker. Mr. Parker told officers that he and Mr. Kenneth Sellers had been wrestling earlier in the yard. 

Mr. Sellers had an injury on the left side of his chest, but did not seem severely wounded. Both Mr. Parker and Mr. Sellers seemed to be intoxicated. 

Both Mr. Sellers and Mr. Parker were arrested and taken to the Chattooga County Jail where they were charged with affray. 

On October 1st, a Chattooga County officer met with a complainant on Commerce Street to discuss an incident that occurred at her home on Filter Plant Road.

The complainant told the officer that someone had damaged her mailbox within the last month. The woman suspected that someone had run into it accidentally, but did not attempt to contact her.

Someone had also removed a package from her mailbox. The package contained Wii batteries.

The woman estimated the initial damage to her mailbox at $50 and the batteries around $20. She was told that the incident report would be filed and Investigators would be informed for further review. 

On September 30th, a Chattooga County officer traveled to a home on Highway 48.

After receiving a report of a theft, the officer spoke with the complainant. The complainant told the officer that someone had taken his white fiberglass boat and trailer.

The officer referred the report to Investigations to help determine who the thief was. 

A Chattooga County officer reported to the Highway 27 Taco Bell on September 30th in reference to a theft.

One man said that he was minding his business and eating at the restaurant around 12:20 in the afternoon.

After eating, the man went out to the parking lot to his red F250 truck. When he got closer, he saw that the red generator that was in the back had been stolen.

The incident was referred to investigators for further review. 

On Saturday, September 27th, a theft report brought a Chattooga County officer to Memorial Drive.

The officer spoke with the complainant, who told him that he walked to the neighboring property, which he also owns, and noticed several items were missing.

The officer noticed several drag marks on the ground leading to the fence where the items were thrown over. The chain link fence surrounding the property had also been damaged. The man estimated the damage and missing items to be around $2000.

The incident was turned over to Investigations for further review. 

On September 26th, a Chattooga County officer traveled to Ben Mosley Circle after receiving a report of a verbal domestic dispute.

The officer met with the complainant first, and she told him that her ex-husband would not let her inside the house when she came home.

The woman, her ex-husband, and her ex-husband's mother all live in the house. 

The officer questioned her ex-husband, who told him that his mother called him while he was working to ask him to come home, since his ex-wife had not been there for several days. The man told his ex-wife that she needed to come home at a decent hour. When she came home around 3:00 am, he did not let her in.

The officer told the couple that there should be no more arguing, and that the ex-husband should let her in. The couple and the man's mother all stayed in the house that night. 

A burglar alarm brought a Chattooga County officer to the Crossroads Pharmacy on Highway 48 on September 26th.

Upon arrival, the officer immediately saw that the front door was shattered, with a fist-sized hole in the bottom left side of the door. The power was shut off from the control box in the back of the store. 

The burglar allegedly threw a large rock through the glass door. The incident was turned over to investigations. 

On September 26th, a man traveled to the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office to report a theft.

The man reported that someone took his Husqvarna chainsaw from his work truck on a job site off of Dry Creek Road near Haywood Valley Road.

The total of the saw and its attachments were around $820. The investigation is still ongoing.
