Mrs. Maurene P. Wallin, Obit (Coffman)

Mrs. Maurene P. Wallin, age 96 of Summerville, GA, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

 

Mrs. Wallin was born in Broomtown, Alabama on February 18, 1921, daughter of the late Tim Pickle and Emma Brady Pickle.  She was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church and prior to retirement was employed with Best Manufacturing.  She was a fantastic cook, loved to quilt and was an extremely hard worker.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wallin was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wallin; granddaughter, Kimberly King; sister, Waynie Edge; and brothers, Harold Pickle and Wilburn Pickle.

 

Mrs. Wallin is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mike King; sister, Haynie Speer; grandchild, Lance King; great-grandchild, Mikayla King; special friends Margaret Henderson, Dot Wilson, and Jean Richardson; and a number or nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Wallin will be held Sunday May 21, 2017 at 3 P.M. at Trion First Baptist Church, Trion, GA with Pastor Casey Bramlett and Rev. Warren Moorehead officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens with Dr. Floyd Roebuck and Rev Stanley Smith officiating. 

 

Pallbearers will be Greg McCollum, Gerald Pickle, Tim Pickle, Tyler Pickle, Mark Pickle, and Gary Floyd.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons at the Trion First Baptist Church, Matt Russell, Jason Pickle, Bobby Gilliland, and Wayne Gilliland. 

 

Mrs. Wallin will be instate at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8P.M.  On Sunday Mrs. Wallin will lie instate at the Trion First Baptist Church from 2 P.M. until the funeral hour.

Kendrick DaMorris Hines, Obit (Willis)

Kendrick DaMorris Hines – Age 11, of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. He was born on September 28, 2005. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and a student at Leroy Massey Elementary School. He was active in his school activities and sports, enjoyed playing electronic games, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. His great grandparents, Richard and Marie Bell, uncles, Edward Bell, Jr. and DeShrick Howard, preceded him in death.

Homegoing Service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at North Summerville Baptist Church, 119 Maplewood Drive, Summerville, Georgia, with Pastor Kevin Roach and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the church on Saturday after 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. Interment, Summerville Cemetery Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
