Mrs. Frances Bernice Wells, age 96, of Summerville, GA, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Apison, TN.
Mrs. Wells was born June 13, 1928, in Albertville, AL, daughter of the late William E. Brewster and Dovie Mae Hulgan Brewster. She was Baptist by faith, and prior to her retirement, had been employed with 3M.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wells; sisters, Ruby Norris, Louise Watson, Patty Sigler, Ollie Mae Henderson, Bobbie Nell Boling, and Billie Jo Harkins; brothers, Tom Henry Brewster, Ronnie Brewster, Tommy Brewster, and James Arthur Brewster; grandchildren, Jon Wells and Christy Wells.
Survivors include her sons, Roy (Linda) Wells, Rev. Gary (Glenda) Wells; daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Porter, Gloria (Clark) Thompson, Dawn (Steve) Younce; a brother, Johnny Brewster; sister, Gladys Hartline; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thurston Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Coulter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clark Thompson, Steve Younce, Daniel Wells, Kaleb Younce, Phillip Wells, Zachary Wells, and David Wells.
Mrs. Wells will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
