Trion Heights Baptist Church presents “The Light of Christmas” Live Nativity Drive Thru Dec. 1 – 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 nightly. Free to public.
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Gore will be having a Live drive thru Nativity scene on Saturday December 14th from 5:30-pm until 8:30 pm. This is a free event and everyone is welcome. Pleasant Grove will be sharing the true spirt of Christmas. There will be live animals including a young camel.
The Chattooga High School chorus will also be performing a selection of Christmas music from 6:00pm- 6:30pm.
Bring your friend and family to enjoy this biblical account of the birth of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Brent M. Cooper, age 53 of Gore-Subligna Community, Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at a Rome hospital.
Brent was born in Rome, Georgia on August 3, 1971, son of the late Jerry Cooper and Kathryn Elizabeth Hix Cooper. He was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church and was retired from the Mt. Vernon Mills. He enjoyed reading and gardening. In addition to his parents, Brent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Steve and Anna Norman Hix.
Brent is survived by an aunt, Linda Cumbaa; and a number of additional extended family members.
Memorial Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Subligna Cemetery with Pastor Jody Brock officiating.
There will be no visitation.
