Janice M. Luallen, Obit (ER)

MRS. JANICE M. LUALLEN, age 75, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday evening, November 29, 2023, in a Rome hospital. She was born in Summerville, Georgia on April 17, 1948, a daughter of the late Roy T. and Alma Carter Bryant; she was a homemaker. In addition to Parents was preceded in death by a sister, the late Barbara Bryant.

Surviving are Husband, Larry Luallen; daughter, Tine Marie Luallen; son, Tim Luallen; grandchildren, Jade Starkey, Jessie Loggins, Jerry Luallen, Emily Amanda Luallen Ratliff, Cole Luallen; great grandchildren, Jocie Rubi and Jaxton Rubi; sisters, Tressia Bryant, Charlotte Bryant, Kay Bryant, Marie Bryant, Darlene Bryant; brothers, Junior Bryant, William Bryant, and Rickey Bryant; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 3rd, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Earle Rainwater officiating, interment in Lyerly Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Anky Fulmer, Troy Oehlson, Howard Slicker, Yandell Ratliff, Sloan Johnson, and Dean Cornett; Honorary Pallbearers Adam Reagan, Bobby Edgeworth, Allen Barnes, and Larry Edgeworth.

The Family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Marshall Moseley, Obit (M)

Mr. John Marshall Moseley, age 65, of Lyerly, GA, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Moseley was born February 21, 1958, in Trion, GA, son of the late Gene Paul and Peggy Sara Mincey Moseley. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as store manager with Red Food and Bi-Lo. Mr. Moseley was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved his daughters and enjoyed shooting, collecting guns and model trains.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moseley was preceded in death by his daughter, Stefanie Moseley, and his paternal grandparents and Maternal grandparents, Pa and Pa Burley.

Survivors include his wife, Cora Mae Moseley; daughter, Lisa (Chris) Bowman; a brother, Dennis (Gayle) Moseley; grandson, Jaydon Moseley; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at West Hill Cemetery with Mr. Larry Weesner officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Bowman, Dennis Moseley, Jason Kellett, Evan Fletcher, Matt Thornton, Jerry Brown, and Stan Hollingsworth.

Mr. Moseley will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M.

Ann McKissick, Obit (M)

Mrs. Sylvia “Ann” McKissick, age 81, of Gaylesville, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Atrium Health Floyd-Cherokee.

Mrs. McKissick was born August 23, 1942, daughter of the late J.D. Bishop and Blondine Plaster. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and prior to her retirement, was employed in the textile industry. Mrs. McKissick was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She also enjoyed cooking and loved animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Leroy McKissick; sons, Leroy McKissick, Jr. and Marion Lee McKissick; and siblings, Barbara Kellett and James Bishop.

Survivors include her children, Brenda (Ricky) Peek, Billy (Shirley) McKissick, Hugh (Imojean) McKissick, James (Lisa) McKissick, and Linda (Tim) Weaver; a sister, Wanda (Donald) Baker; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. McKissick will be held at 2:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Monday, December 4, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church in Gaylesville with Rev. Sanford DeBerry and Rev. Clay Moreland officiating. Interment will follow in Union Hill “Needmore” Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rickey Peek, Rick Peek, Porter Sanford, John McKissick, Mason McKissick, J.R. McKissick, T.R. Weaver, Noah Weaver, Tim Weaver, and Kenny Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Tiffany Jones, Skyler Taylor, Amanda Sanford, Brittany Crocker, and Connor Weaver.

Mrs. McKissick will be in state at Faith Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon (E.S.T.) until the hour of service.
