Mrs. Elsie Mae Bell, age 88, of Lyerly, GA, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Bell was born April 27, 1935, in Menlo, GA, daughter Charles Sanford Allen and Bertha Mae DeBerry Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of Belmont Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Bell; a daughter, Tracey Ledford; sisters, Pauline Tucker, Mittie Lee Payton, and Mary Alice Norton; brothers, Robert Allen and Lonnie Allen.

Survivors include her son, Milo Bell (Vera Johnson); daughter, Mary (Terry) Pettyjohn; a brother, Charles “Junior” Allen; sister, Doris Maxey; 7 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vick Norton, Anniston Mann, Justin Pettyjohn, Daniel Scott, Gary Allen, and Andy Payton.

Mrs. Bell will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Friday.

Mrs. Tammy Deneen Broyles, age 58, of Summerville, GA, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Broyles was born September 27, 1965, in Columbus, GA, daughter of Lucille (Danny) Rainey and the late Jerry Dale Dowda. She was a loving wife and loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed being a Registered Nurse and taking care of people and her family.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Broyles; sons, Brian (Lindsey) Kilgo, Alex (April) Sheffield; daughters, Quana Kavanaugh (Shari Dillon), Amy (Adam) Fink, and Kim Broyles; mother, Lucille (Danny) Rainey; sisters, Katrina (Bobby) Ball, Angie (Mark) Vining; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and special friends, Cheryl Duval, Penny Millican, and Pam Hall.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, December 22, 2023, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Cheryl Duval officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Friday.

Mrs. Angela Darlene “Angie” Shaver, age 60, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Atrium Health Floyd.

Mrs. Shaver was born September 21, 1963, in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Defenial Milam and Catherine Elizabeth York Milam. She was Church of God by faith and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Duane Shaver; children, Stephen Kasey (April) Shaver, Kristin Nicole Shaver, Amber Santana (Branden) Barnett, Patrick Korei (Haley) Shaver, and Ciara Jade Shaver (D’Angloo Price); brothers, Nathan Milam and David Duncan; a sister, Tina Criswell; grandchildren, Hunter Blaine Brown, Kase Da’Korien Shaver, Stephen Kaine Barnett, MaKayleigh Alyse Shaver, Lydon Blake Shaver, Brandelyn Sohela Barnett, Harper Grace Noel Shaver, Kaiden Blaine Barnett, Qwenton Eugene Wooten, Skyla Jayde Price, Georgia Raelyn Brown, Taylen James Shaver, Elsie Alora Price, and Melli Blayn Shaver.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shaver will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 22, 2023, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Shaver and Rev. Denver King officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Silver Creek, GA. Pallbearers will be Korei Shaver, Hunter Brown, Kaine Barnett, Lydon Shaver, Kasey Shaver, and Patrick Shaver.
