Oak Hill Methodist Church Homecoming on Sunday, August 3

Oak Hill Methodist Church, located at 3860 Oak Hill Road Lyerly will be having their Annual Homecoming on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Worship Service will begin at 1030am. Chris McDaniel will lead our worship hour. Covered Dish Lunch following the worship service on Sunday. Pastor David Humphrey and the congregation invites everyone to come and receive a blessing.

Chris McDaniel is a former member of the award-winning, multi-platinum country band, Confederate Railroad, He spent 16 years with the band. Life in the music business can be hard, and even the most grounded person can lose himself with all of the pressures that come along with stardom. During that time he thought he had it all until he found myself completely lost. After hitting rock bottom, he eventually went into rehab where he had to admit he had a problem and was in need of a Higher power to help him.

After rehab, he found himself at Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, TN and heard a message on Jer. 29:11-13. Convicted by the word of God, Chris was led to the altar by one of God’s saints, where he totally surrendered his life to Christ.

Life begins with a conversation, and God has given Chris a unique gift to always start a conversation with everyone, anywhere he meets. Since He has changed his life, his heartbeat is about sharing what he found in and through Jesus Christ. Many conversations over the years have led to opportunities to lead people to Christ or pray for various needs. For the past 22 years, Chris’s team has been
serving in churches, crusades, revivals, prisons, and rehab centers all over the US. He has been given a great passion and mandate to tell people about Jesus and see them free from anything that hinders them living their best life in Him.

Rykar was the heart of our family! He was the biggest mama’s boy, his sister KK’s best friend, his mimi’s little man, and his pappy’s sidekick.
