Woman Arrested On Meth Charges

On June 30th, an officer initiated a traffic stop after running license plates numbers on a 2015 Nissan Altima and discovered it had no valid insurance and suspended registration. Thirty-nine-year-old Crystal Patterson said she didn’t have her insurance card on her or her phone to show proof of insurance. Patterson was asked to exit the vehicle and was found to have a plastic bag on her with a white tablet in it that she said was a Pamprin but after further investigation was found to be oxycodone. Patterson was then placed under arrest and put in the back of a patrol car. After a thorough search of her vehicle, a straw was found in her purse containing a white residue in it. After speaking with Patterson about it, she admitted to consuming oxycodone out of it and that the pill was also oxycodone. She was then transported to the Chattooga County Jail.

Union Street Woman Says Someone Slept In Her House While She Was Away

Summerville Police responded to a call on Sunday evening about a house that was broken into on Union Street.  The complainant told the responding officer that she had just returned home from vacation and found that someone had been sleeping in the master bedroom while she was away.

All Chattooga County offices, will be closed on Thursday July 4th and Friday July 5th, in observance of Independence Day. The Transfer Station and Chattooga County Transit will operate under normal business hours, Friday July 5th. Man Goes To Jail After Break-In Complaint

On Sunday, The Summerville Police Department responded to a call stating that someone was attempting to break into a home on Kirby Street. When an officer arrived on the scene Pierre Price was sitting by the road near the victim’s yard. He said he had permission to be on the property but that proved to be false. The officer walked Price over to his car and patted him down and ended up finding a methamphetamine pipe on him. Price was then placed under arrest and after being transported to jail, the jail officer found a rolled up cigarette with marijuana on the suspect as well. Price was charged with possession of methamphetamine, crossing guard lines with drugs, use of drug related objects, possession, and criminal trespass.
