Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says that the investigation into an armed robbery at a Highway 48 convenience store just outside Summerville continues. The sheriff told WZQZ News that area stores should be vigilant and on the lookout for suspicious activity. According to the sheriff, the two men that robbed the Highway 48 convenience store were outside the store for around thirty minutes before the robbery.
Summerville’s new interim city manager’s first day on the job is scheduled for today. The Summerville City Council voted to approve a contract for Andrea L. Surratt at their meeting last week.
